Each year, the Western Communities Foundation awards a series of $5,000 infrastructure grants to support community projects identified by Western staff.
The Community Infrastructure Grant program is designed to enable a branch to apply to support a major community infrastructure project for renovation or construction of a community’s
publicly owned asset (arena, park, library, community hall, pool, etc.).
Since 2004, the Foundation has invested over $1,390,000 on 256 community projects. These include school playgrounds, hospital equipment, STARS, SPCA’s,
equipment for fire departments, sports parks, swimming pools and many other projects over the 14 years the Foundation has been giving to this program.
Please Note: In accordance with the program guidelines, grants must be awarded to municipalities or registered charities.
