Edson Branch
Edson Food bank were victims of a break and enter as such they are in need of resources to replenish their shelves.
Taber Branch
Taber Food bank provides for the entire surrounding area, and has developed numerous community partnerships to provide support to those in need most. A lot of the partners they have are even clients of our office, so this is another way to help support them as well.
Spruce Grove Branch
The Parkland Food Bank is providing support to the community we are servicing, not only the city we are located in.
Estevan Branch
Helps people in need around our community with food and merchandise.
Victoria Branch
Our Place is providing between 800-1000 meals each day to the hungry and hurting of our community during this crisis. We are also providing community outreach, paramedic checkups and other vital services to those vulnerable citizens of Greater Victoria who count on us for support. We Would benefit greatly from the emergency fund program to distribute food to where it’s needed.
Victoria Branch
They have doubled their meal service daily to now provide at least 200 hot meals to anyone in need as well as 8000 meals/month in additional bags of bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, for guests to take home and supplement their food security during this trying time.
Lake Country Branch
The Lake Country Food Bank is our local organization that feeds our many communities in the area.
Roblin Branch
This is our only food bank located in our community. It is run by volunteers and is essential during this time.
Wainwright Battle River Food Bank Association
Wainwright Branch
This charity is accessible to our entire community for immediate support of food. It is the only food bank in our community.
Weyburn Branch
The Salvation Army in Weyburn is the organization that handles the only food bank here.
Clive Branch
Wanda Wagner coordinates a food bank with the help of The Village and they support the needs of the Village. The demand for help has increased in the last month and there doesn't seem to be enough donations coming in to keep up with this.
Langley Branch
The Langley Food bank has seen a increase of about 90 families due to Covid 19. The food bank normally provides food to the local schools for families in need. We chose the food bank as they are still open and helping members of our community.
Brandon Branch
Helping Hands Centre of Brandon, Inc provides nutritional meals and assistance in a warm and caring environment.
Campbell River & District Food Bank
Campbell River Branch
The Campbell River and District Food Bank Society was born in 1985 when, due to the economic downturn, people found themselves needing help to feed their families and themselves, in the case of singles.
The Ministerial Committee and other caring community people met and with the gift of a Grant from the Vancouver United Way, the Food Bank began to distribute groceries in the spirit of ‘Neighbour Helping Neighbour”.
The spirit continues, and our community has graciously responded with gifts of food, money and grants for specific needs and encouragement.
The Food Bank is a Charitable Society with an elected Board of Directors and is totally dependant on these donations, plus a host of volunteers who love to serve. Approximately 2,000 people receive nutritional help per month, and although the Food Bank had expected to be temporary, the need continues to grow. We the “neighbours” who manage and operated the Food Bank are thankful indeed to everyone in our Community whose kindness supports this part of our Community life.
Gilbert Plains Branch
RM of Gilbert Plains have an application process and select individuals/ families in need and provide them with a brown bag with instructions and all supplies needed to prepare a healthy meal. For example in the paper bag would be x amount of potatoes and a pepper, with x amount of chicken breast ect. We will work with local grocery store as well as see if other local businesses are interested in joining the project. All product would be purchased locally and products would be handled with gloves and mask. As for pick up, could arrange each successful applicant a curbside pickup time or if need be a delivery time.
Westshore Branch
This is a local food bank in our community - which support a large number of our clients as well as our community. This is also the charity that we choose in the branch for 2020 to raise money for to be able to apply for the Matching Grant, Goal Achievers Grant.
Medicine Hat Branch
MH and District Food Bank has been serving our community for many,many years. During these uncertain times, more and more families are accessing the services & resources of MH Food Bank. With the increasing number of families requiring support, they need donations more than ever! A little can go a long way!
