Lloydminster is the only cross-provincial border city in Canada, so our community has the added challenge of working with 2 provinces. As a city, we have managed the differences between regulations, taxes, developmental concerns, and the diversity of people since our inception.
The Western Communities Foundation has approved several Grants in our Community which include:
- Several $500 bursaries and 1 $750 bursary over the past 10 years graduating to high school students that have overcome a challenge and will continue their University or College Education – these bursaries are available on an annual basis, and recipients are chosen by the Lloydminster Comprehensive School and/or the Holy Rosary High School.
- Funds in the amount of $30,000 for our local chapter of Habitat for Humanity
- A $5,000 Grant to the Lloydminster SPCA
We love that the Western Communities Foundation gives us the opportunity be a tangible part of our community’s development. Each year, we are encouraged to request funds for community service projects, and we often join with our 2 Sister offices on the Saskatchewan side to secure a better chance of receiving the funds through our voting process.
We are proud to be a part of this diverse community and we want to support it in every way that we can
If you have a deserving project in Lloydminster that could use some funding, please give us a call
